Synopsis:

“Vor Lauter Bäumen” is the story of Manuel, who like many others of his generation, despite the best circumstances and bright prospects for a fulfilled life, struggles to overcome what are supposed to be the best years of his life.”

It is the first feature length film by swiss/bolivian director Pablo Callisaya. His intention was to create a portrait of today’s young adults.

It was produced with a budget of 35’000.- CHF by the newly founded production company Tapir Film. The film was funded primarily by private donations. Due to that, the production took an off the beaten track.

The film premiered at the renowned international Film Festival Hofer Filmtage 2017 in Germany and was also screened at the international Film Festival Mannheim-Heidelberg in Germany.

Unfortunately, in it’s homeland, Switzerland, the film hasn’t been accepted for any festivals nor was it shown at cinemas.
